Welcome

Hi and welcome to my new Blog...

I use my blog to show clients a sneak peak of their sessions and other interesting things that are going in the photographic world... even some pictures of my own children will appear on here from time to time...

So, enjoy looking around... If you like what you see, feel free to leave a comment, it's great to get feedback on my work

Beautiful…

is the first word that enter’s my head when I look at this 13 year old… “S” is a real natural beauty,  just wait until she’s older she’ll be a knock out… “S” wasn’t phased when I told her she could quite easily become a model… We walked around Ipswich looking for something a little “different” from the usual… and came across the below -:

Just because it’s Friday…

I don’t often get a good response when I ask my 6 year old to be in some photo’s… but today he seemed willing to oblige :)… who knows why he doesn’t want to be in them, his Dad doesn’t like his photo taken either… can you feel my frustration! ;)… on the other hand, my youngest son LOVE’s his photo taken… so all is not lost!!!

Whoa… check out this talented basketballer…

I have really enjoyed photographing teenagers lately, I love capturing them with things that they love, be it their favourite sport, musical instrument, fashion etc… anything that show’s who they are as a person… I had a great session yesterday with this nearly 17 year old… we went into the valley and came across this fantastic location that my cousin suggested we take a look at… There are sooo many good ones of “D” that I couldn’t decide which ones to put here… so here’s a few of my faves…

I love instense stares and looks when I photograph, but we also have a good laugh behind the scenes also… here’s one below… “D’s” cracking up at his Mum…

Till next time…

7 week cutie…

What a little cutie this little girl was… she was sooooo good the whole time I was there… The best time to shoot a newborn baby is 5 to 10 days old, they are so sleepy and are easy to move into cute positions without waking up or being disturbed… when they move past this early stage they become more alert, start moving their arms and legs around, so it can be hard to get the shot… but this little one was such a pleasure… she almost looked fascinated with the camera…

Urban Maternity…

My cousin Nikala invited me along to her maternity shoot… we drove into the valley looking for some “urban” spots and found some gorgeous doors and other cool backdrops… on the way back we stopped by a creek and then to the old rundown house I went to a couple of weeks back… K was a gorgeous model (this is her third child - doesn’t she look fab!!!) and was willing to try anything we suggested… gotta love that…

3 month old cutie…

I had the pleasure of attending little N’s christening  on Sunday… He was such a happy baby the whole day and even turned on the charm when I was photographing him…

Lovely Family…

It’s the third time in a year I’ve had the opportunity to photograph this gorgeous family…  I can’t believe J is turning one already… he always melts my heart when I photograph him… he’s been through alot in his first year, but he is off and running now…he’s such a little sweetie and look at his gorgeous big sister C with her beautiful outfit on and a new hairdo… She warmed to the camera this time and didn’t the camera love her!!!

Gorgeous T…

This is the younger sister of my previous post… Isn’t she gorgeous too!

She’s got the look!

I photographed my partners 2 sisters today…and WHOA….! how gorgeous are they… I’ll start by dedicating this first post to the eldest one… we found this location on the side of a busy road… all fenced off… there was a beautiful run down house behind the fence which we couldn’t get to… It would have made an awesome back drop, but we managed to find other places around it…

I’ve been tagged! twice…

<I was tagged recently by the very talented Susan R!…

I have to tell 6  unspectacular quirky facts about myself…. hmmmm… let me think now…

1.  I have to photograph at least once a week, otherwise I start to go through painful withdrawals :)

2.  I like my steak cooked ‘blue vein’ otherwise it’s a waste of a good steak…

3.  There is an art to eating cookies … and I have my very artistic way of eating them, other wise I don’t enjoy the cookie… ;)

hmmm, three more…

4.  I have to excerise no less than 3 days a week… if I don’t… I start to get a little antsy and a little bit grumpy… (I love being fit!)

5.  I treat my camera like it’s one of my children… :)  It goes everywhere with me…

oooh last one… ummmm

6.  I like the toys in the toy room to be put in their exact spot or it looks out of place to me…

Wow that was hard…

2.  Kym Berry

3.  Fiona Carson

4.  Renee - NFE Design

5.  Naomi V
